Paul has been moved to a rehab facility in Cambridge, Mass. We are so thankful that God brought him through the 8% chance of coming out of the coma and he has been able to have the catheter removed! He is now in what is called a "combative state" which is a normal part of the progression for brain injury patients but this is our prayer focus for this week. There is no way to know how long this stage will last, and the down side is that he must be watched 24 hours a day and his arms are actually tied down to keep him from thrashing around so much. He is responsive to simple commands but still has a long way to go. We are praying for an expedited move through this phase. Because there is always someone in the room it is much more difficult for the family to minister to Paul and they do not want music played or any stimulation going on.
